April 7, Divine Mercy Sunday at St. Catherine Church - Bethlehem

The Mass celebrating the Feast of Divine Mercy was held based on the desire of the Lord Jesus when he asked Saint Faustina to hold a Feast of Divine Mercy on the second Sunday of Easter. The parish priest and spiritual guide of the Divine Mercy community, Father Rami Asakria, and a group of priests presided over the Church of Saint Catherine in Bethlehem, in front of the relics of Saint Faustina coming from Poland, and the Divine Mercy plaque that was blessed by Pope Saint John Paul II.
The group of Messengers of Divine Mercy began reciting the Rosary of Divine Mercy, through which we raised good intentions to the world for peace, especially the Holy Lands. Note that this group emerged, taking its identity from the spirituality of Saint Faustina Kowalska (the Polish saint and mystic who lived in the early twentieth century).
From the sermon of the parish priest, Father Rami Asakrieh, he said: The time has come for mercy. The Lord has given it to us generously. So, let us not harden our hearts - let them be completely open to God's mercy. We are not afraid to approach the sacrament of confession in order to obtain the blessings that Jesus promised us on this day, that is, the grace of complete forgiveness.
It is worth noting that the group of Apostles of Divine Mercy - Bethlehem includes about twenty individuals. The Apostles of Divine Mercy are concerned with spreading the spirituality of Divine Mercy that first appeared in Bethlehem, the place where the Savior of the world was born.
The Messengers of Divine Mercy provide their services through prayer and visiting the sick, and in particular they commemorate the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the parish on the first Friday of every month.
“This brotherhood fulfills in reality the desire that Jesus expressed to Saint Faustina, to proclaim his mercy to the entire flock through praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, honoring his image, and through the mystery of the Eucharist and works of mercy.”
We pray that this rich worship will flourish in the hearts of everyone and we welcome new sisters who wish to join the group. How beautiful, O Lord, are your gifts that never run out. Jesus, we trust in you
