The youth of Saint Francis - Bethlehem met in the Latin Parish Hall
The meeting began with the prayer of the youth.
Then all the members were separated from their personal phones; To delve into the word of God. Then, the spiritual guide of the youth, Sister Anna Salwa, spoke about the similarities between the Bible and smart phones, as the link between them was communication.
The Bible is: the word of God truly, and it is the fruit of God's encounter with mankind. It is the greatest witness to God’s covenant with us, and it is a commandment of love that God has written for us, reminding us of his love every day of our lives, as he speaks to us in the depths of our hearts, as it is a message of love in which God reveals His love and ways to reach Him through prayer and meditation.
Sister Salwa also confirmed that the Bible is an invitation to permanent renewal. Through it, it bears the fruits of goodness and holiness in our lives, to the extent that we open two other books with it: The book of our lives with all its lights and shadows The book of the world with all its hopes and pains
The more we open our hearts to God and neighbor, the word of God becomes for us “spirit and life” (John: 63).
Finally, the New Testament Bible was distributed to all members.
