"The Role of the Laity in the Church"

The youth of Saint Francis - Bethlehem gathered in the Monastery of the daughters of St. Anne, to meet with the Regional Director of the Papal Mission in Jerusalem, Mr. Joseph Hazboun, whose discussion centered on "The Role of the Laity in the Church".

The meeting began with the youth’s prayer, then an explanation about the youth and its activities through a simple introduction made by one of the youth members, after which an explanatory and summarizing video of the youth’s activities was shown.

The spiritual guide of the youth, Sister Anna Salwa Said, introduced Mr. Joseph and introduced him to the youth members and officials. Where he gave his discussion about our role as laymen in the Church, where he began by defining the laymen, what their missions are in the Church, and how we should be one body in the Church, which is the group of believers.

At the end of the meeting, he presented a shield of thanks and appreciation to the Papal Mission, represented by its director, for the constant and continuous support for the youth.
