This is the time of mercy
A group of the Messengers of Divine Mercy, among the parishioners of St. Catherine Church - the Nativity, made a pilgrimage to Poland. The trip included eighteen people, with the participation of some brothers from the parishes of Beit Jala and Jerusalem, accompanied by the parish priest and the blessing of His Beatitude Pierbattista, Patriarch of Jerusalem. And they visited the Church of the Divine Mercy that contains the tomb of St. Faustina, and it is the place where St. Faustina received the instructions of the Lord Jesus on how to draw the icon of the Divine Mercy and spread this worship. And then visit the Church of the Virgin Mary, where the miraculous icon of her is in the city of “Czestochowa” - and also visit the house of St. Pope John Paul II, where he lived, learned and spent a long period of time of his life,
And many other holy and touristic churches and shrines. Finally, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of the Divine Mercy, followed by a tour of the monastery, accompanied and guided by a nun of St. Faustina. This left a great impact on the souls, and it was truly an indescribable spiritual atmosphere.
The main goal of the group was and still is to deepen and spread the message of divine mercy that helps us feel joy and happiness because through it we let the Lord Jesus touch us and change us with His mercy so that we too become witnesses of mercy. This is the time of mercy.
The Divine Mercy message... is a renewed call to absolute trust in the Lord Jesus
St. Maria Faustina Kowalska put herself at the service of this message that the Lord Jesus commissioned her to carry to the world when He chose her to be a messenger of His divine mercy. She devoted her life to the works of mercy represented in prayer, word and work, doing what the Lord dictated to her. Kowalska had several apparitions, and he made clear The Lord gave her the meaning of her message, and inspired her to pray the novena associated with the Feast of the Divine Mercy. He dictated to her the Rosary of Divine Mercy to obtain heavenly blessings and condolences, and to request special honoring of the image of the Divine Mercy and the prayer of the third hour.
Let us turn away from everything that distances us, distracts us, and separates us from the Lord, and let us embark on the journey of holiness, and let us live as children of God in our words, actions, and deeds, and let us dedicate all our lives to our living, holy God, and let us trust Him blindly, praise Him, bless Him, and thank Him every day for His love, grace, and forgiveness, and for all His gifts that He has bestowed.
